Point Regional Health System is a private, not-for-profit healthcare
system serving the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina.
The largest component of the Health System is High Point Regional
Hospital, a 384-bed medical and surgical facility with all private
patient rooms. More than 250 physicians, representing over 30 medical
specialties are on staff. High Point Regional is one of about 100
hospitals in the country boasting Magnet Status, the gold standard
for nursing care. The Health System places heavy emphasis on six centers
of excellence, The Cancer Center, Carolina Regional Heart Center,
The Neuroscience Center, Piedmont Joint Replacement Center The Emergency
Center and The Women's Center.
A cardiology pavilion, which provides all outpatient cardiac procedures,
including diagnostic catheterization and coronary stents and angioplasty,
takes up the entire third floor. This floor features an endoscopy
lab, a cardiac catheterization lab, a vascular lab and a day hospital
with 28 pre- and post-op patient rooms, almost twice as many as available
in the main hospital's catheterization lab.
Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons of Greensboro has served the
people of Greensboro, the Piedmont Triad, and surrounding communities
for more than 30 years. Members of CVTS have been and remain the only
Board-Certified providers of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical
care within the Greensboro community. Our surgical staff currently
includes twelve highly trained specialists in cardiothoracic and peripheral
vascular surgery, and our practice comprises one of the largest volume
centers for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in North Carolina.
